Welcome Back! What another fantastic weekend of games! With intra-conference play beginning in earnest, there are a few more surprises, and games tend to be more competitive. That also makes predicting the winners more difficult (check back on how I did on Thursday. In the news that I know all of you are waiting for breathlessly, I have now seen 97 of the 138 FBS teams (or 70%) either live or on TV. When I say"seen" that means I have watched that team for at least one offensive and one defensive possession. I have seen all of the SEC teams, 15 of 18 in the Big Ten, 15 of 17 in the ACC, 11 of 16 in the Big 12, 1 of 2 Independents, 11 of 14 in the American Conference, all of the Pac 12, 5 of 10 in the Mountain West, only 6 of 14 in the Sun Belt, 8 of 13 in the MAC, and only 3 of 10 in CUSA. My goal is to wath every teams at least once, but that's difficult because: 1) I don't have ESPN+ or Unlimited, or whatever they call it, which means I can't watch games on CW an...

Welcome Back! Last week, I was better than usual again at 62-13, a winning percentage of 82.7%! Overall, I am 222-38, or 85.4%, a drop of 1.1% from the week before. There is no way I will sustain that for the year, but maybe I can stay above 75% this year. There are 71 games in total this week, 4 less than last week. We still have a few FCS games, but by and large, conference contests are the majority of the games this week. Which makes picking a winner that much more difficult. So... on with the picks! Thursday, September 24 Liberty @ Coastal Carolina - The Flames have a narrow 8-7 edge over the Chanticleers, winning their lst meeting in the 2020 Cure Bowl by a score of 37-34, ruining CCU's perfect season. The Chants are 5-2 in Conway, and all of the matchups have been since 2003. CCU has already lost to one CUSA team, as they fell 22-14 at Delaware last weekend, but LU is 0-1 against the SBC as they lost to JMU 20-13 in the season's opening week. Welcome Back! As you might expect, we had quite a bit of movement after the 3rd full week of games. Texas and Indiana remain numbers 1 and 2, but Notre Dame and Oregon swap spots. Ole Miss moves back into the top 10 at #9 while LSU drops to #12. Once again, the Top 25 has the same teams but with some rearrangement. ULM takes over the last spot due to their loss to an FCS team, supplanting Charlotte. After this weekend, I will drop the preseason points and add in some stats from this season. This means there will probably be some major changes, but perhaps not as much as in the past, since the preseason points have carried less weight than before. This also means that the rankings next week will reflect what has happened this season and will be devoid of preseason expectations.
