I know I revealed my power rankings several weeks ago, but that was 10 at a time (and only 5 at a time for the top 20).  Here, I present them to you in a concise fashion.  I will update this on every Tuesday until the season ends.  This is my own formula that I developed.  I have changed it a lot this year to be more comprehensive, and to be more accurate (I hope!).

Today, I attended just my second protest. I've been on this Earth for more than 61 years, and had seen protests, but had only participated once- after George Floyd was murdered. But this was my first political protest. I had some idea of what to expect, but was unsure about how I would feel. TWIF Notes 12-5-22

Welcome Back! Championship Week lived up to its promise, mostly, as the games were competitive into the 2nd half, but with only one down to the wire. This marks the official end of the regular season, as only one game, Army-Navy, remains. Let's get to the recaps! Teams Who Defeated FCS Opponents, Just As They Should Have New Mexico State crushed Valparaiso 65-3 in a make-up game when they were unable to either reschedule San Jose State or find an FBS foe to fill in. The win gives the Aggies a 6-6 record, their 1st non-losing season since they went 7-6 in 2017. However, with 2 wins over FCS teams, they needed a waiver from the NCAA to be eligible for a bowl, which the organization graciously granted due to their unusual circumstances, so NMSU will be attending their 5th bowl ever! NMSU will be playing in the Quick Lane Bowl against BGSU on Dec 26. FBS vs FBS Games Buffalo  eked by Akron 23-22, scoring a TD with 1:15 remaining to become bowl eligible at 6-6. TWIF Notes 9/30/24

Welcome Back! What an exciting 5th weekend of college football! We had unexpected close games, unexpected blowouts, an OT game, and some surprising results. There were only 3 FBS vs FCS games this week, and 2 were routs, but new FBS member Kennesaw State saw their best chance for a win go by the wayside as they lost to UT-Martin 24-13. The Liberty at App State game was canceled due to Hurricane Helene. The game will not be rescheduled. Here are my thoughts on the FBS vs FBS games. Army opened the week with a 42-14 pasting of Temple on Thursday night. The Black Knights are having a banner year so far as they are now 4-0, and 3-0 in the AAC. Even more, Army has won 8 straight games dating to their win over Air Force last year. The Owls have lost 7 of their last 8, and 12 of their last 14. Miami, Fl eked out a 38-34 win over Virginia Tech to stay undefeated. The Hokies were originally credited with the winning TD on their last play Hail Mary pass, but it was overturned on replay.
