Power Rankings
With the conference title games completed, these are where we stand heading into the CFP selection.
I'm going to continue to show you how the CFP bracket would be set up if the committee were using my Power Rankings. For the purposes of this exercise, I'll use the highest ranking conference member as its champion.
#8 SMU would host #9 Penn State, with the winner moving on to play #1 Oregon
#5 Texas would host #12 Boise State, with the winner taking on #4 Arizona State
#6 Notre Dame would host #11 Tennessee for the privilege of playing #3 Clemson
#7 Indiana would host #10 Ohio State, with the winner facing #2 Georgia
This bracket has 3 SEC teams, 4 from the Big Ten, 2 from the ACC, and 1 team each from the Big XII, and MWC, along with Notre Dame.
The 1st 5 teams out would be South Carolina, Alabama, Ole Miss, Miami, and BYU.
